The village Turček with 610 inhabitants is situated at the foot of the Kremnické Mountains, in the valley of Turiec riverhead. It provides the opportunities for tourism and relaxation during the whole year; during the winter season it is the cross-country skiing and downhill skiing, the summer season it is the rural tourism, mountain cycling, swimming in the thermal pools in Kremnica, 10 km distant and in Turčianske Teplice, 15 km distant from the village.
