Považská Bystrica is located in the north-western Slovakia. It is surrounded by a ring of mountains, steps of hikers, climbers and nature lovers are directed into the famous Manínska Gorge. An important building is the Virgin Mary Visitation Church from the 14th century; the city attractions include the ruins of the castle, that undergoes the renewal.
