The village Granč-Petrovce was established by joining of two separate villages.
Petrovce is being mentioned for the first time in 1292, Granč in 1334. There are two building monuments maintained in the village-the late baroque manor-house from the end of the 18th century (at present the school), the renaissance church of St. Martin from 1626. The precious artwork monuments is the altar of St. Martin the bishop (1635), as well as the tinny plate (1669) and the bells (the 17th century). Since 1994, the village Granč-Petrovce has a new dominant 25 meters-high slim tower above the walls of the new Godˊs church.
